About Us

Teaching children to obey what Jesus commanded.

Misión Kids was born in our hearts in 2003 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as a response to our calling to GO to children with the truth of God's Word. In 2003 it was registered in Guatemala City. Then in 2005 we legally registered it in Colombia, and since then we have been working on outreach through missions, support for churches, and material production. Today Misión Kids is a nonprofit organization legally registered in the United States, operating in Houston, Texas, since 2012. In addition to sharing God's Word, training, and producing materials, our focus is raising financial resources to support evangelistic projects focused on children around the world.

Our Goals

Material Production

We develop visual materials that teachers can use to teach Christian principles effectively. Our vision is to donate materials to teachers and missionaries around the world. The visuals package for missionaries is distributed free of charge. All we ask in return are photos of the events or activities, so we can see and show our donors and volunteers the fruit of their work and giving.

Sponsor Mission Work

Financially Sponsoring Mission Work on Behalf of Children Worldwide:

It is our heart to provide financial support to children's meal programs, schools, churches, or any program that cares for the whole child — meeting their basic and spiritual needs, teaching the love of Christ, and extending a hand of compassion. Specifically, we focus on helping legally established ministries that are already doing this work.

Training Teachers and Parents

Training teachers and parents with techniques and materials to teach Bible-based moral and spiritual principles. These trainings aim to help parents and teachers make their classes more dynamic and effective, whether in a church setting or on the mission field.

Luis & Sandy

Luis and Sandy López, originally from Guatemala and Colombia, have been married for 26 years and are the parents of Nícolas Samuel, 21. From a young age they received God's call to serve children; for 10 years they served full-time in missions, teaching children in villages, schools, juvenile detention centers, and Sunday school, training teachers and parents, and supporting churches in several countries across Central and South America.

For the last 17 years they have been developing God's vision for children through a local church in Houston, TX, and leading Misión Kids, committed to supporting missionaries, helping children in need, and training parents and teachers.

Our Mission

The heart of what we do is the mission field. God's Word commands us to GO into all the world and preach the “Good News” to everyone (Mark 16:15). Not all of us will physically “GO” around the world, but God gives us strategies so His Word can reach the farthest corners of the earth. Our desire is to “Be the Hands That Hold the Rope,” like the hands of the believers who held the rope that helped Paul escape in a basket so he could keep spreading the Gospel. We hold the rope so others can carry the Gospel to places of great spiritual, physical, and emotional need.

We all have a part in missions, and we must stir our hearts to find how each of us will take an active part in proclaiming the Gospel.
